Feminine Butterfly Card
Well, hip hip hooray, our power came back on today! Almost a full week later. There are some very happy people in my neighborhood! It's amazing how much we take having light, refrigeration and electronic entertainment for granted. I think my family has had more conversations during this past week than we have had in a very long time. Although I am excited to have the power back it is said to see everyone retreat back to their separate corners..including me.
I made this card for my daughter for her 14th birthday. I cropped this picture from one on my computer while away on vacation. This card involved lots of layers and her favorite color...purple. It is artsy and unique like my girl Zoƫ. She absolutely loved it. It involved lots of stamping and spritzing. Not my usual style but I thought it would be hers. I will update the picture once I find a better image.

Oh Baby Boy Card - Sweet Lil' One
I seem to be stuck in a boy mode. Our neighbor had a cute little baby boy and so I just had to make a welcome card. I thought of all the fun elements that catch my eye on the cards I like and I came up with this little ditty.
I love the look of burlap ribbon accompanied by the round doily. It creates an artsy feel. The gold button just adds a nice extra touch! I hope you like it. The stamp set I used is no longer available but here is a cute one you can use instead. It's called Cute Lil' One

Celebrating 21 with Style!
Is the power on at your house? Ours has been out for over 5 days and counting! Not fun. We finally decided to find refuge somewhere else while we wait it out. I decided to find the silver lining and share this shiny fun card. This was for our son's 21st birthday.
I wanted to create something fun and sophisticated yet cool for a boy. This card was easy to create. I used used my stars framelits dies on silver glimmer paper and the decorative dots textured embossing folder on the the shiny silver. With a few layers the card was done. Stampin' Up! Boy Birthday card
Each year I try to find a boy's birthday card that I like and then I make a dozen or so of them. Thanks to Pinterest and some retired stamp sets, This is the one I've used for all the parties my boys were invited to this year. I still have 4 left so bring on the party invites...we're still good!
Isn't it cute? I changed it a little from the original, making use of the stamps that I had on hand. You can find the original here. This card used the retired extreme skateboard stamp set. I don't think I will ever get rid of this one. It is indeed a favorite of mine. Check out the supplies below to get started with your own.

Another Fancy Fold Graduation Card
Here is another graduation card. It closely resembles the one from yesterday but is without the bottom layer. To make these cards you need to have the diagonal plate for the scoring tool.
Truth: I've had the diagonal plate for over a year and I believe this is the first time I actually used it! I am however ecstatic that I had it on hand for when I was ready to use it. Now I think we will become really good friends:-) This card uses the brushed gold card stock and basic black for the cap. For the tassel I used gold twine. I really had fun getting back into my stamp room and stamping.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you come back soon!

Fancy Fold Graduation Cap Cards
I can hardly believe it has been so long since my last post. Life has been busy. It seems as my kids get older, the busier I become. This June has brought many graduations so I have been busy making graduation cards. Check them out!
I saw this design for this fancy fold graduation cap card on youtube and followed it step by step. It was amazing easy. It is a fun fold and the tassel was equally easy.
They were well received by the recipients. I made two more that I'll share tomorrow.

Lovely As a Tree Convention Swap Share
Isn't this a beauty? I got it as a swap at Convention 2014. It uses the Lovely As a Tree stamp set. It is one of my favorite stamp sets ever! It is so versatile! It can be used for every season. It is definitely a Stampin' Up! favorite. It has been around and selling well since I became a demonstrator 10 years ago! I love how Demonstrator Terri Stewart used a masking tape to ink technique to get the stripes along the card. Just beautiful! Lovely As a Tree was paired with the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the sentiment. Colors/Inks used include: Pear Pizazz, Soft Sky, and Stazon Black. I am pretty sure I will be case-ing this one.

This card features both the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set as well as the Work of Art stamp set. These two sets compliment each other when paired for a fabulous finished product! Gorgeous Grunge Convention 2014 Swap Share
I have two swaps to share today. Both feature the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and both are from some talented stampers. Thy both made my mouth fall open when I received them at Convention. I am in love with this first card created by Demonstrator Lisa Fuller. This card is fabulous!!! I love the colors, the layout, the flowers and their inked edges. This is one fantastic card. It uses the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in a way I never would have thought to do. I am so grateful for swaps because they give me ideas outside of my normal approach to crafting. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!
This is another darling card using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. The colors are soft and calm. They make me think of a soft spring rain. Did you notice the pearls on the butterfly or the sequins strategically placed? This pretty card was created by Demonstrator Valerie Kobayashi of Honolulu, HI. She used the Happy Birthday wording from the Hey You stamp set (wood 134516) (clear 134519).

Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (wood 130514) (clear 130517) and the Hey You stamp set (wood 134516) (clear 134519) can be purchased through my online store HERE. Get yours today so you can start making your own works of art.

Work of Art Convention 2014 Swap Share
Here are several more of the swaps I got at this years' Convention. All of these cards feature the Work of Art stamp set. This is a versatile stamp set and all of the images in the set work well together. This set is also great paired with the images in the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. This first card was created by Demonstrator Kathy Barbour. I love how she made a palm tree with the images from the Too Kind stamp set.
This second card was created by Demonstrator Nicole Wetsch. Hers looks like a rainbow. I love how the colors soften with each flourish. It uses the Decorative Dots embossing folder and twine. Super cute!
This next card has such a softness to it. It was created by, Demonstrator Barbara Reed. It has a collage look to it. The heart really gives a point of focus. Gorgeous!!
This adorable card was created by Demonstrator Valerie Kobayashi. She cased it from Sandi MacIver and Heather Wright-Porto. I love the rich boldness of the colors on this card. This card has two layers but looks like there is so much more to it. The top layer has some cutouts that allow the second layer to peek through. It is uh-dor-uh-ble!! Along with the Flowering Flourishes stamp set this card is a work of art and makes a strong statement.
This card has a lot of super cute features. The colors are soft. The use of Blackberry Bliss ink for the circles are a great contrast to the the Lost Lagoon ink and card stock. The little touch of Hello Honey adds a nice little touch as do the little dots of glimmer paper. This great card was created by Demonstrator Carmelita Wasson.
This last card seems so happy and refreshing. This awesome card was created by Demonstrator Sue Pardo. A good friend of mine. I love the rhinestones on the butterflies and how she layered the butterflies on the yellow images. Creative and classy! I love it.

Thanks for stopping by to see all of the wonderful cards created by fellow demonstrators using the Work of Art stamp set (134111). I can't wait to start sharing these cards at my future events. Shop my online store 24/7.

Convention 2014 Starburst Sayings Swap Share
Each year at Convention demonstrators swap card fronts as a way to share card ideas. Here are a couple of swaps that I got from other demonstrators this year. Both cards feature the Starburst Sayings stamp set. This firs card was created by Demonstrator Robbie Cox. It uses the Decorative Dots embossing folder and the 4-1/2" X 6-1/2" Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. These cute paper stacks are a great size for card fronts or just about any project.
This card was created by an anonymous stamper. It is super cute, I really wish I knew who stamped it. It features the Large Polka Dot embossing folder and the In Colors Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stacks. I love these paper stacks and have been using them a lot on my cards for layering. They are perfect and come in all of Stampin' Up!'s signature colors.
Starburst Sayings (clear 133185) (wood 133182) is a fun stamp set that works well with the Starburst Framelits Die (132967).
With these dies you can create layers or frames for your stamping projects. Shop my online store anytime to get started with your Starburst Sayings card.
