A Custom Card Kit

After a recent workshop, a customer of mine was interested in custom holiday cards. She really liked the layout of one of the cards we stamped together at the workshop. She inquired about making holiday cards using the same layout. I helped her to order all of the supplies needed for the cards and offered my services to make this quick and easy for her. I pre-cut and scored all of her materials, stamped and assembled a sample card, and put it all together in a little care package for her. This was fun to do knowing that she would receive everything she needed to create her cards. This is a service I am now offering to my customers for an additional fee. I think this is especially beneficial for new customers who may not have nor be able to purchase everything they need to recreate the type of cards that they would like to send to their family and friends. For this card kit, the stamp set was included but I will consider other options with and without a stamp set.

Another Card Kit Card!

Okay...so here I am still going through my left over card parts and enjoying every minute of it. It is unbelievable how variant my cards can turn out while still using the same pieces from my left over card kits. It just goes to show you that Stampin' Up! products are very versatile. One can use the same materials and create a whole new look. For this card I decided to stick with the Party Hearty stamp set, turned my Bella Rose dsp paper to the side, added pink grosgrain ribbon down the center, stamped a cupcake for the focal point strategically adding a few rose colored brads for my sprinkles, and then I put on the final touches. A few dots using my very special tool...a pencil eraser! I'm not sure who this card will be for yet..but it is ready to go when the need arises.

A Dazzling Party Hearty Card

I decided to use some of my pre-cut left over card parts from workshops, classes and such to create this card and another that I will upload . This card was born from the scraps from a card I showed a week ago. Instead of just stamping a couple more of the previous card I challenged myself to change it up a bit. I pulled out my Iridescent Ice, and versamark to make my main image sparkle a bit. I haven't used it in awhile so it was fun to pull out my heat gun and put a bit more time into my card. My husband was out watching the debate with friends, the kids were asleep and after watching the debate myself, I was one busy stamper. I love nights like these every now and then.

Jean's Sketch Challenge #4

A Bit of Thanks...

I created this card for Jean's Sketch Challenge. I enjoy her challenges and try to play regularly. It's a way for me to stamp with half of the work done before I even get started and I like that! This card uses the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. I seem to be getting lots of use out of this stamp set; it is so versatile. I also tried the new designer star brads. I love the the weight and look of them on a card.

A Card For Dad!

I can't believe it has been an entire week since I last stamped and blogged. What a crime! My father's birthday is coming up so I decided to quickly stamp a card to send on its' merry way to him. I pulled out my stock of retired papers and ink for the occasion. I chose a couple of my faves along with whisper white cardstock. I did a little layering, added some ribbon, a bit of twine, and a card was born. I tried to keep the ribbon to a minimum since it is a masculine card. There was an internal battle going on because I wanted to add more ribbon but then thought better of it.This card was very quick and easy and could be good for demonstrating.

Building A Scrapbook Page

Yesterday, I mentioned that I created a scrapbook page which I cased the layout from Kay Marie's blog, Stamping To Share. Here is my take on her beautiful layout. I love the way she arranged her photos and decided to have a go at it. I rarely get to my scrapbook pages. I am soooo very behind and I am sure so many of you can relate to this. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I prepare for worshops that require me to have scrapbook pages to share. Due to this demand I get more pages done than I would other wise...so once again Stampin' Up! brings so much satisfaction and accomplishments to my life. I love how I feel when I've completed a page for my children. If you too are a scrapbooker, I hope you get some scrapbooking done today.

For my pages, I started out by creating a 6X6 page using a photo from my daughter's dance recital. I get a little sad looking at this picture because she has decided that she's ready to move on from dancing and is now interested in gymnastics. So these pages represent her last days as a dancer. Anyway, I layered the 6X6 page onto an 8-1/2X11 page and then onto a 12X12 page. This is a wonderful way to show the possibilities of scrapbooking. Scrapbooks can be a variety of sizes and to different degrees of difficulty. These pages were lots of fun to create and I hope you enjoy them.

Lovin' The Bella Rose

Here are a couple more cards using the beautiful Bella Rose Paper and the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. I had fun demonstrating these cards, showcasing the versatility of using limited supplies. I love how the colors go together. The Kraft cardstock is quickly becomingmy new favorite must have...must use color. I got my inspiration for the long card from Kay Marie's blog, Stamping To Share. She has a really cool blog with lots of great projects. I also cased her scrapbooking layout for my workshop because it was so, so cute, I just had to create one too! Mary Polcin shared this idea at convention as well as others before her. I'll share that one tomorrow.
