Christmas Tags

I know it's after Christmas but I want to share how I used the Stamp a Tag Kit 132806 from the Holiday Catalog. A few weeks ago I held a Christmas Tag Class. Each attendee received the Stamp a Tag Kit as part of their class fee. It comes with 24 tags, two stamps and a Cherry Cobbler ink spot and also an Old Olive ink spot. Each person left with 24 completed tags. The tags were used as the top layer for each tag. All materials were pre cut and punched so stampers just needed to stamp and stick. There was indeed lots of stamping and adhering and when all was stamped and done the finished project was all set and ready for some cute gift adorning.

I used many of mine for teachers tags. I also made more to give out with little holiday favors for some of my colleagues.

Thanks for stopping by.

Two Takes on a Tag

Tags are always lots of fun to create. Here are two takes on a tag. I used all of the same products but gave them two slightly different looks. The first one on the left I made a bit wider and adhered the patterned paper at the top while the one on the right is a bit more narrow and the patterned paper is in the middle of the tag. I wrapped the patterned paper all around the tag on the right, while the tag on the left just has the patterned paper on the front. Which do you like best? These tags were inspired by tags I spotted on page 9 in the annual Stampin' Up! catalog. There is so much to see and copy in the annual catalog that everyone can be crafty!

Tag Recipe:
Stamp Set: Christmas Wishes (Holiday catalog hostess set, p. 39)
Ink: Gumball Green or Raspberry Ripple
Card Stock: Primrose Petals and Snow Festival Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Mitten Builder Punch, Gumball Green 1/4" Sweater Trim, and Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine

Happy 2012!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season and are excited and hopeful for a healthy and safe New Year. I remember being in high school thinking about how old I would be once the year 2000 was upon us...thinking that would be quite old! Now here we are even 12 years later it is amazing how fast time flies. So many changes in my life from then to now. Marriage, children, Stampin' Up! and the fun goes on. It has been quite a while since I've posted. Life has been so busy. Good..but busy:-) The kids had a wonderful Christmas and I had some time for stamping which always makes this mommy very very happy. I made some gift tags for some very special people and I made new tags for our stockings that hang by the chimney with care:-) I got this idea and layout from my second level upline, Gail Murray. Each year she has a "Cookies and Tags," class that I attend faithfully. This year I copied one of her layouts to make holiday tags for my family. Of course I changed mine slightly with colors, papers, stamps, etc but the basic idea is hers.

These were fun to make. I used the Christmas Lane Simply Scrappin' Kit. Stampin' Up!'s kits are awesome and so easy to use because the paper is already coordinated which means less planning needed on my part and you know I LOVE that!
