Look Who's Turning....

Isn't this a fun looking card? Super easy too! How easy you ask? So easy that I made 8 of them...yes, 8 of them. I am thinking long term here:-) My 8 year old was invited to a party for one of his very good friends. I created this card for the event and then thought...I should make a few more of these cards to keep on hand for the birthdays that come up. My boys get invited to so many birthday cards for their male friends that I thought it would be a great time saver to have some on hand. If you like these, check back tomorrow I'll have the female version of these here to share.
I used my Big Shot and cut out several numbers from 5-8, since we know lots of little boys turning 5, 6, 7, and 8.


This card uses paper from a retired Celebrations Designer Series Paper set. I got the idea for this card from page 91 in the Idea Book & Catalog. It also uses the Look Who's Talking stamp set found on the same page.

Look Who's Celebrating 5 in MDS

We had a fun birthday celebration earlier this month for my youngest son. My cuddle bug turned five years old on May 9th. He's my last bundle of joy. I am so grateful that he still lets me hug and kiss on him at will. I can't get enough of hugs and cuddles from him. May he always love his momma!
His card comes from the Extreme Skate Board stamp set and Celebrations dsp. How do you know if your life is a bit over scheduled? Well, I'll tell you how. You make a card for your son and then forget to give it to him until you come across it a week later. Yep, that's how it went in my household. He didn't even miss it! His gifts were plenty enough to keep him happy.
This page highlights the happiness he felt turning the big five. He could not wait for his day. In our house the birthday person gets to pick their dinner of choice. His request was that we went to a place that had Nachos, so off to Uno's we went. His other request was that I bake him a cake from scratch that was white and had red and blue on it. I am thrilled to say both request were granted leaving me with one very happy boy. We all enjoyed and basked in his happiness with him. A great day.

My Digital Studio...A Birthday Celebration

Hope you all had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day! My kids were so excited this morning thinking about their upcoming special Leprechaun school activities. They went to school hoping to catch a Leprechaun. Such innocence:-)
Today I have another MDS scrap book page to share. This one focuses on my son's 7th birthday. When he was 5 months old I signed on as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and now... that five month old is seven years old...boy does time fly when you are having fun!

Zoe's Birthday in MDS

It's been awhile since I've gotten the chance to dabble a bit with My Digital Studio. Today, I got that chance so I decided to quickly scrap a page from my daughter's 10th birthday. I used the Celebrations paper to create this page. It was fun and it reminded me to get back to scrapping. I also worked on another page for my son's 7th birthday. I need to finish it up and will share it soon.

A Boy's World!

Here's another card using the festive Celebrations designer series paper. I am really loving this paper. It's bold, colorful, and it is great for birthday cards for kids. I teamed it up with the Extreme Skateboard stamp. I teamed these two up a couple weeks ago for a card and thought I'd do it again. I think this stamp along with the surfer one are the my two go to's for stamping boys cards. My son took this card along with a gift to his friends birthday party.
