My Birthday Boy...He's Amazing!

My baby boy has turned four! I can't believe that time has breezed by so quickly. It seems that just yesterday I was trying to get him to sleep through the night. Funny how I do miss those nights of hearing him and just bringing him to bed with us for the sake of getting a good night's sleep.

Here is the card that I quickly made to celebrate the big 4! I used the Tall Tales designer paper. I love this paper!

Card Recipe:
Card stock: Chocolate chip, So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Tall Tales designer series paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Stamp set: Family Phrases
Accessories: Chip board letters

Cards with Jacki

Recently my upline Jacki had a few people from her group over to stamp. This was just what I needed. It felt great to get together with friends, coupled with stamps, ink, and paper. We stamped and stamped so many cool cards and even a bookmark. The time flew by too quickly and before we knew it, it was time for us to put away our toys and head home. Here are a few of the cool things we stamped. Each of these cards were shared by Jacki. Aren't they cute?

I have a couple of cards to share with you. I made these cards awhile back but have been so busy that I haven't had time to upload them. I used a Sale-a-bration stamp set, Happy Moments. I LOVE this stamp set and hope it makes it into next years catalog. I used the new clear stamps. I am having so much fun with them. I am still undecided about which I prefer, the clear or the wood. Such a hard decision so I decide NOT to choose. I think I will just continue to work with both. Why commit to just one, right? For this card I used Lovely Lilac, Summer Sun, and Whisper White card stock.

The second card uses the Messages for Mom stamp set. This too is a fun stamp set. Again, I used the clear stamps for this card. I used Very Vanilla card stock and Soft Suede with Melon Mambo.

I had LOTS of fun making these cards. I hope you like them.

Sale-A-Bration/Occasion Mini card Class

I recently did a card class for a friend of mine. Here are a few of the cards we made using some of the fun stamps in the Occasion mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration catalog. Even though Valentines Day is over I think the beautiful pink and red designer series paper can still work well with different themes. We used it for a birthday card here. The stampers chose which image they wanted to complete the look.

For the thank you card. We used the new flower punch on the pattern papers with minimal stamping. We added some ribbon, my personal favorite accessory, pulled out the spiral punch and a quick card was done.

My Stamping Space

This is my stamping space all clean and ready for stamping. This is soooo not the usual way that it looks. Usually there are scraps of paper and stamp sets in view with a little corner of space for stamping. I had a rare few moments when the kids were sleeping so I thought I'd gussy up the spot a bit so that I could just stamp when the next great moment presented itself....It hasn't happened yet but I still have some cards to share from my last stamping event.

My Space

I have a few places in my home where I like to spend a some quiet moments. We recently created this corner in our dining room. It houses my laptop as well as one for my kiddos to use. After my stamping is done this is where I escape to do my surfing and blogging. It's clear of clutter and sometimes quiet; just what I need when I want time to think.
