My Stamping Space

 

This is my stamping space all clean and ready for stamping. This is soooo not the usual way that it looks. Usually there are scraps of paper and stamp sets in view with a little corner of space for stamping. I had a rare few moments when the kids were sleeping so I thought I'd gussy up the spot a bit so that I could just stamp when the next great moment presented itself....It hasn't happened yet but I still have some cards to share from my last stamping event.

My Space

 

I have a few places in my home where I like to spend a some quiet moments. We recently created this corner in our dining room. It houses my laptop as well as one for my kiddos to use. After my stamping is done this is where I escape to do my surfing and blogging. It's clear of clutter and sometimes quiet; just what I need when I want time to think.

Let's Celebrate 8!

My daughter designed this card for a friend's birthday party. She selected this retired Stampin' Up! stamp set, colors and the layout. We were short on time so I stamped everything, while my daughter told me where she wanted things to go. She also cut out the ice cream scoops. I originally stamped the "Celebrate," in brown ink. She looked at the finished product and said she was thinking it could be half one color and half another. So....I re-made the card per her instructions and I must admit I like the second card better.

This card was super easy to create. I didn't get to put any ribbon it. I love ribbon and what it adds to a card. My daughter did not care for any ribbon so as much as it pained me not to include it...I let it truly be her card.

Cards for my Kiddos

Within the last few months we have had a couple of birthdays in my household. I love making cards for my children and they love seeing what I came up with for them. It is so funny to me to see my children posing with their cards as if it is one of the gifts. I enjoy these moments so much!

The red card was stamped for my daughter. I copied this design from Diana Gibbs. She has a fabulous blog full of great ideas. Diana's card can be found in the December 2009 issue of Stampin' Success on page13. I love this layout of hers.

Card Recipe:
Card stock : Real Red, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, and Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper
Stamp set: Happy Moments Sale-A-Bration set
Ink: Basic Black, various markers and blender pens
Accessories: Red Grosgrain Ribbon

My son turned six. He loves any and every kind or type of sport so with this in mind I decided to use one of the extreme stamp sets.

Card stock: Brocade Blue, Real Red, Whisper White,and Kraft Card stock
Ink: Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip, and Real Red
Accessories: Chip board, white gel pen

Valentine's Day In Review

I know I am a bit late in sharing these...but better late than never. These are the cards I made for my family members. I had so much fun making these cards. I got to use Stampin' Up!'s very cool heart shaped cups and heart punch for most of the cards. I put candy in the ones for my kids. They thought the cards were cute but I really think it was the candy that was the hit. It was all eaten before days end. I didn't get to take the pics of the cards until all of the candy had been swiped so here are my cards, minus the candy.

Each of these cards use Real Red, Pretty in Pink, and Chocolate Chip cardstock, Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Whisper White/Very Vanilla cardstock.
Accessories: Sending Love Epoxy Brads, Red Ribbon or Twine

Patterned Papers Make Great Cards

I saw this card in a recent Stampin' Success Magazine....or on another blog...not sure which. It was created by a talented stamper using a different color combo and stamp set. I saw it, loved it and wanted to share it with my stamping friends. The ladies at my last class enjoyed this card the most. It was the most time consuming to assemble put left a great impression. I pre punched all of the squares to make it a bit easier for the ladies.
