Back To One Catalog!!!

I just came across this info. on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator website and I am soooo very excited to share it with you.


It was announced that Stampin' Up! will be moving back to an annual catalog.
This is what the co-founder and CEO, Shelly Gardner, had to say about this:

Here are Shelli's words:

We have been evaluating our catalog strategy for some time to determine what is most effective for you, and based on what we've learned and the feedback you have provided, we have decided to return to an annual catalog.

Because of the lead times involved in creating a catalog and the products that go into it, we had originally planned to make this change in July 2010. However, after considering the current economic situation and the effect it is having on your businesses, we have re-evaluated the timeline for this change and decided to launch the annual Idea Book & Catalog this coming July 2009.

What does this change mean to you?

* Beginning in July 2009, we will go back to an annual catalog.
* The US Hispanic supplement will also become an annual catalog.
* The Décor Elements catalog will continue to be separate from the Idea Book & Catalog, and will come out twice a year.
* The mini catalog program will change to include three mini catalogs a year, each lasting for four months.

In addition to the changes mentioned above, we will be introducing a small selection of hostess sets in each mini catalog. This will give your customers even more reason to host multiple workshops throughout the year.

We know that you will have lots of questions about these changes, and we will be providing more details in the coming months. Look for even more information to come as we get closer to the release of our new annual catalog in July.

We are excited about these changes and the benefits your businesses will see from them. Going back to an annual Idea Book & Catalog will decrease your cost of doing business and will simplify the catalog program--allowing you to focus on doing and sharing what you love.

Baby Pages

My youngest son will be three years old in May. Thus far, he has, approximately, a total of 3 pages in his scrapbook. Yes, I know I slacked up a bit on him. Poor thing coming last and getting little in this area. This past weekend, amongst some busy scrapbookers I got to complete a few more pages for my little cuddle bug. It seems like just yesterday he was still in my tummy. I remember the excitement of seeing him for the first time and the loving expressions and words my other children displayed when they first saw him. I don't have my husband anywhere on any of these pages. He is on one or two of the three others that I did for Josh. I will scrap another one with him soon.

I give each of my kids a song of their own. Joshua's song is to the tune of "Momma's Little Baby loves Shortening Bread." I made that the title for one of his pages. I can't believe I am being so brave and actually showing how I looked on the day he was born. This photo was the best of the bunch. I really don't enjoy looking at my pregnancy pictures but at any rate I will publish them just for creativity sake. I used one of Stampin' Up!'s retired Simply Scrappin' kits. I love these because just about everything you need is included in the pack. They are absolutely perfect for quick scrapbooking. I am still working on one other page for my little Josh that I will share in a few days.

I used the retired whimsical upper and lower alphabet set. This font still remains my favorite SU! alphabet set.

I have some new scrapbook pages to post. Last weekend I went to the Heart Crop all day event. I had so much fun talking to so many wonderful scrapbookers. I talked a lot, sold a lot and even got to stamp 5 pages. I call that a very successful day. I have another one coming up on April 4th. I am so looking forward to it.

Let It Snow!

Here are a couple more scrap pages for this weekend. I really tried hard to find some "printed" snow pics of the kids but to no avail. I had already downloaded them from my camera to my computer and was too lazy last night to go and get the computer and go through the frustration of trying to print the ones I took on Monday. It probably would have only taken a second...my mind and body would not bring me up from the basement, where my stamping area is," to my computer on the very next floor! Lazy, I know...but that's my story.

I am going to start working on birthday pages tonight. I am full of so many ideas. I even took out some pictures that I can lay on them to spruce up the pics a bit. I hope there's enough time to get it all done! I have been using all of my retired SU! Simply Scrappin' Kits. I see them, I want them, I use some...and some sit. So now I am trying to go through things and use or discard...because it is getting kinda crazy in my stampin' space!

I am really excited about being a vendor this weekend. If things are slow, maybe I'll get some personal scrapping done. I will definitely let you know how this all turns out. And...if no one buys my pages...just think of all the scrapbooking I've completed for my family. This is definitely a win win situation.

It's A Snow Day!

I probably love these days even more than my kids. We got 7" of snow between last night and this morning and even more into the afternoon. Schools here in NJ were closed, and the district where I work was closed as well. So we got a fun, fun, fun "Snow Day!" We usually make "snow fun," our first event of the day so we were out there in the snow by 8:30am. Yes, my kids wake up early...believe it or not this was actually sleeping in:-) The snow was too soft so we couldn't build a credible snowman so we just played in it. The kids had fun sliding down the slide in our backyard into a pile of snow. We were back in and drinking hot cocoa by 9:30. Now to get some stamping done...

Wanted! A Masculine Birthday Card!

Here is another card from my recent stamping evening with friends. I find it a bit tricky to come up with masculine cards. I tend to make cards that are very girlie...I guess because I am a bit of a girlie-girl type of a gal. When I do stamp, with a guy in mind, I find myself pulling out the same ole' stamp set: Wanted. I really do like this set but I need to work on expanding my horizons.

For this card I added some linen ribbon to complete the look and some earth tones.

Cardstock: Really Rust, Chocolate chip, Close to coco, and Very vanilla
Ink: Really Rust and Chocolate chip
Accessories: linen ribbon
