Two Babies To Be!

A colleague at work is having twins. A boy and a girl. I am so excited for her. I always wanted twins and then after each of my children were born and I came home to restless nights and two hour feedings I would think to myself, "How in the world would I have handled two? I'm pretty sure if I had been blessed with twins a complaint would not come out of my mouth.

A group of us usually go in together on the gift. I was chosen to make the card. Since she is expecting a boy and a girl I decided to create a card with both blue and pink elements. Coming up with colors was the trickiest part for me. I used one of my favorite baby sets (Baby's First). It is a retired set from Stampin' Up! It's a set that I have not been able to part with. Definitely a favorite of mine!

This card was a lot of fun to make. I used crystal effects on the baby's outfits to make them pop a bit. I am happy with the way it turned out but...If I were to do it over, I would use a pink card base and then layer that with bashful blue before adding the pattern paper. I may try it just to see the difference and then keep it for the next pregnant one in the bunch. There has gotta be something in the water at work.

Well, thanks for stopping by...now go stamp something!

LOVE this! That set if one of the very few that I have vowed to never get rid of. I love the Crystal Effects on their clothes. Twins...sounds like a ton of work...my kids are 2 yrs. apart and I think that's close enough! :) Have a wonderful weekend, Maureen.
