A Slice of Life!

My sister in-law is having a baby! It's her second baby and I volunteered to make the invites! I really LOVE doing this. I decided to use the Slice of Life hostess stamp set. Have you seen it? It has images for important moments in life...a new baby, birthday, heart for Valentines day, and more. I used the sleeper image and made two different cards using the same layout but different colors. First I used the retired, I'm Here stamp set. I inked up the feet and hands in two different colors and randomly stamped them all over Whisper White card stock and then cut and adhered to to a card base. I used markers to color in the sleeper and then added the magical Crystal effects, some ribbon and I was done. For the second one, I used retired designer series paper and pretty much followed the same steps as the first one. Which do you like best? My 10 yr. old daughter likes the ones with the feet and hands. I like the multi colored one...Can you guess why?

Stamp sets: A Slice of Life, I'm Here, Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Mellow Moss, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink: Mellow Moss, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight marker, Riding Hood Red marker, Kiwi Kiss marker
Accessories: Grosgrain Ribbon, buttons, linen string Crystal Effects

Thanks for stopping by, now go stamp something!

Hi Maureen!

I like them both, but agree with your daughter. The hands & feet look so cute:) Are you a polka dot fan? Is that why you like the other one more? I bet your sister-in-law will love them. Beautiful work!

Have a great day!!!

I am a polka dot girl! To me they create a sense of happiness and fit perfectly for baby/kiddie cards:-)

Julie, Thanks so much for your comment.

The hands and feet are adorable but I like the polka-dots better. I too am a polka dot fan..but more importantly, it seems as if that one would have been easier and faster to make. Great job!
