Lovely As a Tree Convention Swap Share
Isn't this a beauty? I got it as a swap at Convention 2014. It uses the Lovely As a Tree stamp set. It is one of my favorite stamp sets ever! It is so versatile! It can be used for every season. It is definitely a Stampin' Up! favorite. It has been around and selling well since I became a demonstrator 10 years ago! I love how Demonstrator Terri Stewart used a masking tape to ink technique to get the stripes along the card. Just beautiful! Lovely As a Tree was paired with the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the sentiment. Colors/Inks used include: Pear Pizazz, Soft Sky, and Stazon Black. I am pretty sure I will be case-ing this one.

This card features both the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set as well as the Work of Art stamp set. These two sets compliment each other when paired for a fabulous finished product! This is another swap I received at Convention. It did not have a label so I have no one to give credit to for this fabulously stamped card. This is an amazing card. I love the explosion of color and the well placed banner. See below for the details:

Gorgeous Grunge Convention 2014 Swap Share
I have two swaps to share today. Both feature the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and both are from some talented stampers. Thy both made my mouth fall open when I received them at Convention. I am in love with this first card created by Demonstrator Lisa Fuller. This card is fabulous!!! I love the colors, the layout, the flowers and their inked edges. This is one fantastic card. It uses the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in a way I never would have thought to do. I am so grateful for swaps because they give me ideas outside of my normal approach to crafting. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!
This is another darling card using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. The colors are soft and calm. They make me think of a soft spring rain. Did you notice the pearls on the butterfly or the sequins strategically placed? This pretty card was created by Demonstrator Valerie Kobayashi of Honolulu, HI. She used the Happy Birthday wording from the Hey You stamp set (wood 134516) (clear 134519).
Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (wood 130514) (clear 130517) and the Hey You stamp set (wood 134516) (clear 134519) can be purchased through my online store HERE. Get yours today so you can start making your own works of art.

Work of Art Convention 2014 Swap Share
Here are several more of the swaps I got at this years' Convention. All of these cards feature the Work of Art stamp set. This is a versatile stamp set and all of the images in the set work well together. This set is also great paired with the images in the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. This first card was created by Demonstrator Kathy Barbour. I love how she made a palm tree with the images from the Too Kind stamp set.
This second card was created by Demonstrator Nicole Wetsch. Hers looks like a rainbow. I love how the colors soften with each flourish. It uses the Decorative Dots embossing folder and twine. Super cute!
This next card has such a softness to it. It was created by, Demonstrator Barbara Reed. It has a collage look to it. The heart really gives a point of focus. Gorgeous!!
This adorable card was created by Demonstrator Valerie Kobayashi. She cased it from Sandi MacIver and Heather Wright-Porto. I love the rich boldness of the colors on this card. This card has two layers but looks like there is so much more to it. The top layer has some cutouts that allow the second layer to peek through. It is uh-dor-uh-ble!! Along with the Flowering Flourishes stamp set this card is a work of art and makes a strong statement.
This card has a lot of super cute features. The colors are soft. The use of Blackberry Bliss ink for the circles are a great contrast to the the Lost Lagoon ink and card stock. The little touch of Hello Honey adds a nice little touch as do the little dots of glimmer paper. This great card was created by Demonstrator Carmelita Wasson.
This last card seems so happy and refreshing. This awesome card was created by Demonstrator Sue Pardo. A good friend of mine. I love the rhinestones on the butterflies and how she layered the butterflies on the yellow images. Creative and classy! I love it.
Thanks for stopping by to see all of the wonderful cards created by fellow demonstrators using the Work of Art stamp set (134111). I can't wait to start sharing these cards at my future events. Shop my online store 24/7.

Convention 2014 Starburst Sayings Swap Share
Each year at Convention demonstrators swap card fronts as a way to share card ideas. Here are a couple of swaps that I got from other demonstrators this year. Both cards feature the Starburst Sayings stamp set. This firs card was created by Demonstrator Robbie Cox. It uses the Decorative Dots embossing folder and the 4-1/2" X 6-1/2" Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. These cute paper stacks are a great size for card fronts or just about any project.
This card was created by an anonymous stamper. It is super cute, I really wish I knew who stamped it. It features the Large Polka Dot embossing folder and the In Colors Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stacks. I love these paper stacks and have been using them a lot on my cards for layering. They are perfect and come in all of Stampin' Up!'s signature colors.
Starburst Sayings (clear 133185) (wood 133182) is a fun stamp set that works well with the Starburst Framelits Die (132967).
With these dies you can create layers or frames for your stamping projects. Shop my online store anytime to get started with your Starburst Sayings card.

Something To Say - Masculine Card
I have another card that could be considered a masculine card. It was quick and easy. I usually like to layer my cards but this one seemed to work with just the single layer. I used the wording from the Something To Say stamp set. I like the sketched look of the font and images in this set. I decided to add a golden star for a bit of pizazz. The texture on this card is from the Honeycomb Textured Impressions embossing folders. I used the In Colors Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stacks for the two banner pieces. Card stock used is Craft and Hello Honey. I stamped the heart in real red ink. Say Something is a 14- Saying stamp set that will have you ready with cards for anything! Check out the images below:

Oh, Happy Day Masculine Card
I am always in need of a good masculine card. This one I saw in the annual catalog on page 116. I pretty much copied it as is but changed out the patterned paper (designer series) because I don't have the one they used (Typset Specialty Designer Series Paper)...but I'm adding it to my growing wish list. I also added the wording it's your day from the Fabulous Four stamp set, that I got for free at Convention. This was a quick and easy card. I will definitely be using this one at my next Paper Party. You can get yours HERE at my Stampin' Up website anytime anyday.

My Inspire, Create, Share 2014 Convention Swap
Although I've been home from Convention for almost 2 weeks now, I have yet to share my swaps with you. I thought I would share today. I made the same design using four of the new In Colors. These cards were inspired by a card made from the talented Mercedes Weber. You can find it HERE. For my version of the card, I used the Flower Patch stamp set, Hello Honey ink and card stock, along with the In Color Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stacks. It is one of the new photopolymer stamp sets. I am just lovin the photopolymer stamps, they ink up and stamp so well.
Here it is again in the Blackberry Bliss In Color. I love the boldness of this hue.
This one is in the new Tangelo Twist In Color. This one was my favorite of the four.
Last but not least is the beautiful Lost Lagoon. All of the colors look so much better when you stamp with them. Just looking at the colors doesn't do them any justice. It's when you ink up a stamp that you see the beauty and boldness in each of them. If you haven't gotten your In Color ink and paper, you can get them HERE.
Thanks for stopping by, come back real soon!

Back in the Saddle Again! Stampin' Up! Convention
Back in the saddle again....or should I say back in Utah again. It was fun at Stampin' Up!'s Annual Convention. Awesome as ever! Stampin' Up! knows how to make its' demonstrators feel appreciated. The first day was our bag pick-up day and Paper Pumpkin Night Out! It was fun-filled.
Here is this years' bag. Isn't it cute? Well, every year Stampin' Up! gives out a new bag to all of the attendees and we all look forward to the big reveal. Although this year we got a sneak peek it was nice to see and feel the bag in its physical sense. I am so lovin' this bag. It was big enough for my iPad, a book for notes, and lots of other useful goodies. I can definitely see myself using this in days to come.
We got to make the cutest gift bag. It will be in the September Paper Pumpkin. I can't wait for mine to arrive so I can make 6 more. Sign up HERE by September 10th, and get 50% off the first two months. Use promo code: HALFOFF2 (for new customers only) Do, it, do it and you will get six of your very own. You will absolutely love, love, love these.
Convention started with a warm welcome from CEO & Cofounder, Shelli Gardner. As always she looked amazing!!! I love her sense of style.
Shelli shared the line up of events and activities for our time in Utah. Excitement built as we got our first all attendee give-away.
Employees from Stampin' Up! came out with boxes full of six different individual stamps. Every attendee got one of the stamps in the picture above. I got the thank you one. I had my eye on that one and am so glad to add it to my collection.
Becky Higgins stopped by to share Project Life by Stampin' Up! Project Life has been around for years and now Stampin' Up! will have some exclusive Project Life products available. It is a new venture with Becky Higgins and I am sure you will love it. I got to play with it at Convention and am super excited about it.
It is a great product line for quick memory keeping. There are pockets for quick placement of photos and cards. Stampin' Up! has kits available that fit right in the pockets. All kits are color coordinated for easy page design. This page was designed by Sara Douglass as the title page of a family book she created. You can see she added embellishments for extra interests.
Thanks for stopping by...Check back soon, I'll be sharing more fun from Inspire, Create, Share 2014, Stampin' Up!'s Annual Convention.

Artist Trading Card: Happy Day in Spring
I love this card! Not long ago, I was in a swap where we made 2" x 2" Artist Trading Cards (ATC) This ATC was created by one of the ladies in our group. I layered it onto Whisper White cardstock and then onto Crisp Cantaloupe and stamped the happy day sentiment on it from the Happy Day stamp set. People use ATC's to layer onto a card base, like I did. In addition ATC's can be used in an array and showcased in a window box. I love how quickly I can take an ATC can create a card with it. Fun, fun, fun!

It's Retiring...A Happy Day
I made this card using the Delicate Doilies, a retiring fun stamp set. Sadly, it is no longer available..but I've got a nice used clear one that will be available for purchase on June1st. I stamped happy day from the retiring Happy Day stamp set(130294 wood) (130297 clear) using black StazOn ink.
I love that the Designer Series paper is two-sided. Here is the same card with the flip side of the paper from the first card. On this one I layered a large pearl on a button. I love what a pearl does to a button. Super cute!! This card could be used for a birthday card, a thank you, a thinking of you. I think the possibilities are endless.

It's A Sassy Salutations Birthday!
What a busy weekend! It started with a birthday celebration for my youngest who turned 8 on Friday. Follow that with 2 baseball games on Saturday for my boys and a Pre-Mother's Day Luncheon for me, leading to today's 2 soccer games for the boys. We had lots going on and if I'm being honest...I enjoy every moment of it.
I totally cased this card from Sandi MacIver. I tried two different versions. I'll start by first sharing hers. I fell in love with this card and knew my little guy would love it too. He opened it and smiled and pretended to blow out the candles. I thought it was so cute!
For this card I cut the In Color Designer Series paper at 2" x 3". Check out Sandi's blog for step by step details.

A Simply Sketched Sympathy card
This card style is an old favorite that I made a while back. I still had the pieces cut and stashed away so I decided to make a card with these ready to go pieces. I needed a Sympathy card and thought Wisteria Wonder along with Whisper White and Basic Black would be a perfect combination. They are both calming and sophisticated. I added some pearls to up the elegance. This color also happens to be one of the colors the bridesmaids wore at my wedding almost 15 years ago.
I used the Simply Sketched stamp set and did some water coloring. I am beginning to enjoy water coloring more. Stampin' Up! is coming out with some new markers that will make water coloring even more desirable to me. I'll share more info. on that soon as they become available. I can't wait and I know you and I both will love them.

Make a Cake Circle Thinlit Card
I think Birthday cards are my most favorite kind of card to make. This one features the Circle Thinlits along with lots of other fun Stampin' Up! product (Make a Cake, Starburst Sayings, Banner Greetings, and Yippe Skippee stamp sets and Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack). I extended this card a bit to include a flap so I could add a message and some more fun stamping. This card measures 4-1/4" X 9-1/2".
I used the Silver Glimmer paper and the shapes included in the Circle Thinlit pack to add a bit of fun accents onto my card. All of the above is included in the Circle Thinlits pack. There are so many possibilities and options. I love this Thinlit and use it often when I want to make a Wow card for a friend. This one went to my good friend Samantha. Happy Birthday Sam!

Simply Sketched Thanks in Watercolor
Something I don't do too often is water coloring, but I thought I'd give it a try. I used the Simply Sketched stamp set and Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper. This is the perfect stamp set for water coloring. I stuck with a couple of colors (Island Indigo and Gumball Green), Gold Sequin Trim, and Tea Lace Paper Doilies... and this is what I came up with. I made this card as a thank you for my friend Samantha for the fabulous dinner party she hosted last month. We had a great time. The food was delicious and the special time with friends was much needed.
I even pulled out my Envelope Punch and made an envelope to fit this odd sized card. This card measures 4" X 3-3/4". I love that I can make a card at any size and feel confident that I am able to use my Envelope Punch to create an envelope to fit whatever size I decide on.
